BEFORE ANYTHING: SAFETY AND AGREEMENTS ☐ Forms are performed on a clear, even floor with space for the full pattern in every direction. Students check the space before the ready stance, every run. ☐ Front kick work in this book is performed into the air or onto a held pad at the height and contact the holder agrees to. No kick in this book is thrown at a partner's body. ☐ Turn and balance work stops for dizziness or unsteadiness. The student sits out turning drills for the day; the chart records it without penalty. ☐ No partner drill in this book involves contact. Partner jobs are marking, checking, holding pads, and calling, and partners keep clear of the performer's pattern lines. ☐ Grading-condition runs (silent, full standard) are performed fresh, never as the last run of an exhausting session, because the standard being measured is the form, not fatigue. ☐ A student who is ill, hurt, or returning from injury tells the instructor before class; chapter work adapts and full runs wait.

Part 1: The Specification

Every drill in this book is measured against this page. Your instructor's standard governs where it differs; the structure does not change.

Count honesty. Some schools count each kick and its punch as two movements, and some describe the middle turns with different geometry. The material does not vary: the same lines, techniques, kicks, and final direction home. Learn your instructor's numbering; this chart's structure is the map, not a ruling against your school.

The Il Jang rule for this book. Where a fault belongs to material the two forms share, the correction is sent back to the first form's drills and named as such. Yi Jang time is spent on Yi Jang's new material and on the shared material at its new standard, not on relearning the first form badly inside the second.
