Part 1: How to Use This Starter File, and Its Limits

☐ Parts 2 to 12 are the model policy, section by section, in brackets where your school's facts go ☐ Parts 13 to 17 are the staff paperwork: the conduct agreement, the logs, and the recruitment checklist ☐ Parts 18 to 21 are the facing pages: what parents see, what students see, and the forms for when a concern arrives ☐ Parts 22 to 28 are the upkeep: reviews, induction, the common gaps, and the script for the parent's question ☐ Limits, stated once and plainly: this file is a starting structure used by well-run schools, not legal advice. Requirements vary by state, by insurer, and by federation affiliation. Where a governing body's rules apply to your school (for example SafeSport requirements through a national federation), those rules govern. Have the finished policy read by a local advisor before you publish it ☐ The finished policy is signed by the owner, dated, and reviewed annually (Part 23). An unsigned policy governs nobody
