Mat Manual companion guide to "The Technique of the Day Trap." Print the worksheets once, fill them in with a pencil, and keep the term pages in the folder or binder that lives at the school. This is a working document, not a poster. It gets written on.

How to Use This System

Work the sections in order the first time. Section 1 sets the term. Section 2 designs the rotation inside it. Section 3 gives the class formats the rotation runs on. Section 4 is the completeness checklist: the standard your written curriculum has to meet before it counts as written. Sections 5 and 6 are the fill-in pages, one set per term.

After the first term, the order shortens. The rotation and the checklist stand until you revise them between cycles. Each new term is Section 1 again, then a fresh set of Section 5 pages.

What you need

☐ Your current syllabus or test sheets for every rank you teach ☐ Your grading calendar for the year ☐ School closure dates (holidays, venue closures, your own time off) ☐ Class timetable: which classes run, how long, which rank bands attend ☐ A pencil. Plans change between cycles, and the pencil is the honest tool
