Mat Manual companion guide to "You Drilled It Perfectly. Then It Vanished in Rolling." Print it. The article names the four gaps. This planner builds the bridge: a diagnosis worksheet, the resistance ladder, positional-sparring templates, constraint-game cards with the win conditions written in, and a session log that counts live hits instead of reps across a four-week transfer block for two chosen techniques.
Name: ______________________________ Gym: ______________________________ Coach: ______________________________ Block start: ______________ Techniques chosen (Part 13): T1 ______________________________ T2 ______________________________
THE AGREEMENTS OF THE BLOCK ☐ Two techniques only, for four weeks. The block transfers; it does not collect. ☐ Resistance is calibrated (Part 18) and agreed out loud at the start of every drill. Surprise resistance is a fault, not a favour. ☐ The log counts live hits. Reps are recorded for the drill plan, never quoted as progress. ☐ Positional rounds are real training, not a waiting room for real training.
Part 1: The Diagnosis Worksheet
Answer from your last three open-mat sessions, incidents not impressions.
